AVI Support Plugin

AVI Plugin

To create an AVI file, first one generally creates a multi-layered tiff file using the Movie Player (see Movie Player), or has image stack available from another source or has previously saved an image as a multi-layered tiff file (stack of images). Once the multi-layered image has been created, or loaded into Northern Eclipse, click on Plugins from the main menubar, then click Make an AVI Movie. If the image can be saved as an AVI file the image save dialog box will appear.

If the AVI plugin is installed then Northern Eclipse will also be able to open AVI files as movies.

Note: Images in the stack must be of the same image type for AVI saving to work (i.e. 8 bit, 8 bit palette, or 24 bit color). This plugin does not support 16, 32 and 48 bit or floating point images. Use convert under process in Northern Eclipse if image conversion is necessary.
